”Finding an intern with the right personality and education is a challenge. With the help of Josefin at Inredningskurser.se, we were able to develop an ad for the internship platform that reflected our needs in our business and aligned with the relevant course. This resulted in a good filtering of applications and allowed us to make a quick decision. The student completed the internship exemplarily, it was a good match from both sides, and we chose to hire the student”

What is the difference between the various professional roles of Interior Designer, Home Staging Consultant, and Interior Stylist?

INTERIOR DESIGNER works with decorating personal homes or businesses. Here, one works with a client and their specific wishes. It often involves solving problems and creating improvements without changing what is good. In this type of job, you often have a longer relationship with a client since assignments as an Interior Decorator take longer to complete than, for example, Home Styling. HOME STAGING CONSULTANT works with styling homes for sale. The role of the Home Staging Consultant is to highlight the home's potential by showcasing advantages and possibilities. Often, it's about selling a home quickly, for the best possible price, or to get it sold at all. Here, one often collaborates with real estate agents, and the work is done quickly and efficiently. INTERIOR STYLIST works with creating temporary commercial environments such as exhibition booths, showrooms, and events. You can also style environments around a specific product for photography or commercial filming. The Stylist's work is not just a question of aesthetics. In addition to being responsible for color schemes, choosing products to be combined, lighting, etc., the stylist must also have good dialogue with the photographer, client, etc. Stylists often act as project managers between the different parties involved in such a project. As an interior stylist trained with us, you can also work with Visual Merchandising in interior design. In our Certified Interior Decorator & Interior Stylist (including Home Staging Consultant) course, you get a breadth that creates both variety in tasks and increases the number of jobs you can apply for. You get a good combination that is attractive in the job market.
